Orange Cointreau Chocolate

A close friend of mine requested for a birthday cake for her sister-in-law. Given very very short notice, i made 3 anemone flowers and decorated the cake with black sugar icing.

A simple yet elegant Orange Cointreau flavored chocolate cake..

The black dotted icing and the black lace made the cake look pretty classy.

This cake was made for my friend at RM60.

Finally, I have a blog of my own...
This blog is to share pictures with friends and families and for other people who are not yet in my Facebook. It will have mainly pictures of food-related stuff because, i am a foodie! I like preparing them and hubby likes eating them.

Apart from baking and decorating cakes as a hobby, I can do personalized cakes according to orders. Cakes for any occassion. I can even help you plan your party! Or decorate your garden wedding... It's something else that i love to do other than baking. As long as its about decorating something!

I specialized in sugar flowers and have yet to acquire the skill in making human figurines. Many have asked for bride & groom wedding toppers, but I must say I really am not good at it and would prefer to avoid such choices (until further notice) ;-p

A Fuschia Wedding

dThe best friend of my sister's is getting married. She's such a sweet girl so i've decided to bake her a wedding cake. It's nice doing something for someone who is nice.. Every effort put into making this cake is worth it when i saw the smile on her face...

Pink is her favourite colour and Rose is her favourite flower. So here it is, a cake that i would say is "Gorgeous"!

Love the green hydrangeas that stands out strikingly..It blends so well with the fuschia roses..

Tried a lil bit of sugar icing when decorating the sides of the cake..which isn't a very good idea if you plan to deliver the cake to a bride who lives 300km away.. By the time we reached KL, part of the sugar icing had came off.. We had fun though, trying to salvage as much as we can.. =) But, lesson learnt.

Cupcakes - All time Favourite

Cupcakes..Who can resist them?

I love making cupcakes for parties as it really brightens up the party with all its colors.

Made this for Elias' 1st birthday poolside party with little cocktail umbrellas.

The 1st Birthday Cake for My Baby

Made this birthday cake (Moist Chocolate) for our precious little boy who turned 1 on 19th August 2010. We were planning a poolside party for family and friends. So i made a beach themed cake which some said looks like a cake from Lilo & Stitch ;-)

The block lettering spells the name of our son, Elias. He lovesss balls. If fact, his first word is "Ball". So i made a little ball on the cake just for him.

This is my first attempt in making teddy bears. To be honest, everything on the cake is my first attempt in making them..hehe

Peonies For My Sis

My very first attempt in cake decoration!

My sister is gettin married and i thought the best gift i could give is to make her a weddin cake. Mom helped to bake the fruit cake (with lots of rum!) while i decorated it with various flowers.

It is 2 tiered with mini cakes on the sides.

I absolutely loved the 2 big peonies..

Here's my happy sis.

The garden wedding was held in Bangsar, far from where i live. Transporting the cake needs alot of proper planning and it wasn't easy at all. Plus, it is heavy and have a tendency to melt in our hot weather. Thanks to my mom who was actually the one who engineered the whole delivery plan (with home made boxes and all)....

Making this cake and seeing how happy it made my sister gave me alot of encouragement. I do hope i am able to continue to do this which i am so passionate about and, at the same time create a little career of my own..
